Touring Exhibitions

Museums & Galleries Queensland delivers a comprehensive exhibitions program including:

  • Exhibition Touring
  • Exhibition Development
  • Support Services

Exhibition Touring

M&G QLD manages a high-quality touring exhibitions program to provide access to contemporary visual arts practice for regional and metropolitan communities. The program encompasses exhibitions of visual arts, craft, social history, Indigenous culture, new media, architecture and design.

The program showcases the work of Queensland, Australian and international artists and curators to a diversity of venues within Queensland, Australia and internationally.

M&G QLD is the Queensland agency for National Exhibition Touring Support (NETS) Australia, a national network of independent arts organisations committed to promoting and presenting contemporary art, craft and design through touring exhibitions.

Exhibition Development

M&G QLD develops its own exhibitions for touring, usually over a three to four-year period. The content of these exhibitions is based on needs within the sector, identified through consultation with our constituents.
