Kids Time: A Century of Learning through Play

Incorporating smell, sound and dress-up clothing, Kids Time encourages 3 to 8 year olds to immerse themselves in play in times gone by and learn more about the world in which their own parents or grandparents grew up.

Each of the five time periods is represented by a separate time module or cubby house offering a space for children to play with toys, puzzles, dress-up, see displays of toys in sealed cases and identify a boy and girl character from each era.

This exhibition is supported by a unit of work that teachers can access from the Queensland Museum website.

Kids Time is a travelling exhibition developed by the Queensland Museum. The public program for Kids Time is supported by the Bank of Queensland.
