Careers in Museums and Galleries Networking Event 2014

M&GSQ presented a free Careers Networking Session followed by informal networking over refreshments. The session was divided into two parts:

Part A - Personal Pathways: Presenters talked about their personal pathways through the sector. Speakers included:

  • Dr Geraldine Mate, Senior Curator, Transport and Energy, The Workshops Rail Museum
  • Rebekah Butler, Executive Director, Museum & Gallery Services Qld

Part B - Fellowships and Internships:

  • QAG l GOMA Backstage Pass: Regional Internship Program - Hamish Saywer, Project Officer, Regional Services, QAG l GOMA
  • 2013 Recipient of the QAG l GOMA Backstage Pass - Sandra Ross, Education and Public Programs Officer, Gympie Regional Gallery
  • Churchill Fellowships - Matthew Shepherd, President, Churchill Fellows Association of Queensland
  • Smithsonian Fellowships – Alex Cody, Principal Project Officer, Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts.
