Public Value in Galleries and Museums was the 2014 seminar presented annually in partnership by Museums & Galleries Queensland, University of Queensland Art Museum and The University of Queensland Museum Studies Program.
The seminar focussed on public value and the longterm positive contribution that public galleries and museums make to society including health, learning, social inclusion and wellbeing.
The event featured:
- Joanne Orr, CEO, Museums Galleries Scotland on Museums and Galleries - Creating Public Value in Scotland
- Michael Huxley, General Manager, Museums & Galleries of NSW on Adding Value: Economic contribution of cultural facilities and their programs
- Tracy Cooper-Lavery, Director, Rockhampton Art Gallery on Rocky's Renaissance
