Why Use Twitter Workshop
Before the Conference begins, Myles Sinnamon, State Library of Queensland, presented on using Twitter.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Dr David Fleming OBE, Director, National Museums Liverpool, UK presented Creating the Much-Loved Museum
  • Kiersten Fishburn, Director Community and Culture, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, Liverpool City Council presented At the Heart of Everything: Casula Powerhouse and Community Centred Programming
  • Kirstin Sillitoe, Co-CEO, Arts Access Australia presented Access: It's all about Breaking the Rules

+ A variety of parallel sessions on selected themes

Social activities for the evening included:

  • Local Exhibition Opening – embrace
  • Networking Dinners

FRIDAY 7 AUGUST 2015

  • Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan, Artists presented Making Do

Masterclass and Workshop Presenters:

  • Richelle McClymont, Visitor Experience Manager, The Workshops Rail Museum presented More than Playing with Trains - Creating Quality Visitor Experiences
  • Richard Harling, The Cultural Commerce Consultant presented Successful Retail in a Cultural Environment
  • Rick Chen, Co-Founder and Director, Pozible presented Let's Talk Crowdfunding
  • Jop Haverkamp, izi.Travel and Brian Crozier, Crozier Schutt Associates presented Your Heritage Stories Through Smart Phones, without any costs
  • Louisa Penfold, Ipswich Art Gallery and Dr Barbara Piscitelli AM, Consultant presented Child-Centred Creative Practice at the Ipswich Art Gallery

Social activities for the afternoon and evening included:

  • Historic Ipswich Bus Tour including afternoon tea at Gooloowan
  • Back-of-house Tour of The Workshops Rail Museum Collection Store and Railway Workshops
  • Conference Dinner at the Darling Street Chapel, 16 Darling St, Ipswich with live entertainment
