2017 Securing Funding Workshop, Chinchilla

When: 23 & 24 March 2017, 9 am - 4:30 pm
Where: Wattle Room, Chinchilla Cultural Centre, Chinchilla
Cost: $50 for Standards Review Program Participants, Volunteers and MAQ/RGAQ Members; $65 Full Registration

This workshop aims to increase your capacity to secure funding by providing opportunities to:
- Speak face-to-face with funding bodies
- Learn about alternative sources of funding
- Hear local case studies of successful grant applications and sponsorship
- Find the right source of funds for your project
- Improve your application writing skills

Hear from representatives from the following funding bodies:
- Arts Queensland
- Community Benefit Funds Unit, Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, Department of Justice & Attorney-General
- Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal
- National Library of Australia on their Community Heritage Grants
- Western Downs Regional Council on their Regional Arts Development Fund
- Western Downs Regional Council Grant Programs

Other speakers include:
- Simona Sharry, Creative Partnerships Australia on philanthropy and fundraising
- Debra Beattie, M&G QLD on preparing grant budgets
- Deannah Vieth, M&G QLD on designing your project; finding the right grant for your project and preparing a grant application
