The Calliope River Historical Village is a collection of buildings from around the local area, housing an interesting range of displays used in everyday life.

The exhibits range from horse-drawn wagons and farm equipment, hand tools, gramophones, dolls and hats to household items and furniture.

The Gladstone Railway Heritage Centre collection has been relocated from the railway yards in Gladstone to the Village with the assistance of Queensland Rail. The display is housed in purpose built quarters and has been receiving positive comments from visitors.

Regular country markets are held throughout the year to help raise money for the Village.

The Village - located by the Bruce Highway on the bank of the Calliope River, 6km north of the Calliope Crossroads and 100km south of Rockhampton.
