The Museum attracts visitors from Queensland and other states, as well as from overseas. We cater for young visitors through our special activity programs. We also regard ourselves as being part of the North Queensland tourism industry.

Regular temporary exhibitions every six months and mini temporary exhibitions every three months. Our courtyard and parkland are available as unique venues with views of Ross Creek for weddings, birthday parties and other events.
