The collection includes items of equipment used in these hospitals, memorabilia and photographs from nursing, medical, dental and pharmaceutical sources.

The displays are set out in rooms typical of country hospitals including an equipped general ward, an operating theatre, doctor’s office, dentist’s treatment room, pharmacy, infant care room, pan and treatment rooms and nurse’s bedroom. An Iron Lung is a feature, as are early humidicribs, a rota bed, early dental chairs and an X-ray machine.
