Projects
National Archives of Australia (NAA)
The review and supply of track lighting fixtures for the National Archives of Australia [Gallery 3] in Parkes, Canberra. This project involved the review of the gallery to assess the lighting conditions and explore options for improvement. A section of the Gallery was isolated to allow for a controlled comparison of several fixture types whereby multiple products were tested side by side against the existing fixtures. The assessment was guided by the desired outcomes for the space – both in terms of how collected are currently presented and the galleries’ future aims.
This review resulted in the supply of 3 different types of speciality gallery luminaires to NAA.
Melbourne Holocaust Museum
The review, supply and installation of speciality museum lighting for both showcases and general gallery spaces. New miniature low voltage track and miniatures fixtures were supplied for the revitalisation and exhibit of a new permanent collection in showcases.
New lighting (using existing 3 circuit track) was also supplied in a gallery space for a new collection.
Koorie Heritage Trust
Supply of specialist museum lighting for showcases within the gallery space, providing high-quality, conservation-appropriate illumination to support the display and preservation of the collection.
Queensland Museum
The development and supply of bespoke luminaires for an interactive exhibit, purpose built to support a hands on exploration of optics and colour. Prototypes were developed and tested onsite to deliver a clear and reliable demonstration of the colour splitting effects – resulting in a robust fixture built for the realities of the interactive gallery space.
Museum and Gallery of Northern Territory – Megafauna Central (Alice Springs)
The supply of gallery track and track mounted spotlights for a new gallery space. The fixtures deliver a high CRI needed for accurate colour reproduction across the galleries fossil and megafauna display. The range of available beam angles provides the flexibility to light exhibits of varying scale and form on a single track run.
