More information about Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology

The Museum’s displays cover 500,000 years of the human story including Palaeolithic hunters, Neolithic farmers, the Roman Empire, the Middle Ages, the Victorian Era and the Industrial Revolution. Displays also highlight ancient Egypt, Greece, the Near East, India, Burma, China and Japan.

The Museum annually hosts an active program of events – Medieval Festival, Picnic at Pemberley, and four themed Family Fun weeks.  

Tours of the Abbey Church are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am.
