More information about ADAQ Museum of Dentistry…

The ADAQ Museum of Dentistry preserves the history of dentistry and holds one of the largest collections of dental equipment in Queensland. With the organisational archives, the collection tracks the evolution of the practice and offers visitors a glimpse of what it was like to practice dentistry or undergo dental treatment.

Our historical collection of dental objects and archives includes ornate foot-pedal drills, early x-ray equipment and anaesthesia machines, a stunning swan-armed 1800s dental chair, and many beautiful – but terrifying – extraction key instruments. The museum’s collection serves as a valuable record of the history of dentistry and as an educational tool for the public.

The ADAQ Museum of Dentistry is open by appointment only at this stage. Please contact Alessandra Boi 07 3251 2126 or [email protected] to book in a guided tour.
