The core of the building dates back to 1864 and still retains the original floors, handmade bricks and barrel rails. It provided secure storage for goods that attracted a tax including cigars, tobacco, rum, wine, spirits and opium. 

Today the Bond Store has been reinvented as a store for regional produce and houses fascinating displays and artefacts documenting Maryborough’s Portside history. You can sample a range of delicious regional ports and liqueurs in the authentic surrounds of the Bond Store.
