More information about the Logan City Historical Museum

The Logan City Historical Museum was established more than 30 years ago with a charter to preserve the history of Logan’s European settlement and development of the Logan and Albert districts from the late 19th century to the present day.

Located in the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct, the Logan City Historical Museum boasts a collection that includes the few surviving relics of the Butter Factory era. The collection has evolved from donations by former staff of the Kingston Butter Factory and retired farmers living in the surrounding region.

Logan’s history in timber, farming, mining, small industry, railway, schools, involvement in both WWI and WWII and a number of floods, fires and a tornado over the last century provided the Society with a rich tapestry of events to collect and exhibit.
