More information about Morven Historical Museum
The Morven Historical Museum consists of five buildings. The main office building stores a miscellaneous collection of old books, photographs, and local artefacts. Connected to the main office is a slab hut used for machinery and hardware and such larger articles as an old manual wool press. The third building features a unique collection of finally crafted miniature buildings that were to be found in Morven in the early 1900’s. A fourth building houses an Army Blitz, while the fifth building houses many old machinery items some of which include a softdrink bottling machine, mowers, and tools. Also part of the Museum is a Kerosene Tin Hut replicating the housing built in Morven in the Depression years of the 1930’s.
