The Qantas Founders Museum is a tribute to the pioneers of Australian aviation and offers visitors a glimpse into the airline’s remarkable history. This community-operated and not-for-profit Museum is not owned or operated by Qantas.
Qantas Founders Museum is an award-winning museum that tells the story of Qantas from its early days in Outback Queensland to the present day. Displays focus on the founding figures of Qantas, Hudson Fysh, Paul McGinness, Fergus McMaster and Arthur Baird, as well as life in Outback Queensland in the 1920s and the advancement and impact of aviation in Australia and the world.
Combining displays, guided tours, original objects and interactive multimedia exhibits, the Museum offers guests a definitive historical experience of Qantas’s heritage.
The Museum has 120 running meters of dedicated exhibition space showcasing visual art, design and cultural exhibitions from local, national and international artists.
