M&G QLD is presenting a free mental health webinar for the gallery and museum sector with registered psychologist, Sam Sellwood.

Sam will present a practical webinar focusing on ‘mental health essentials’, with opportunities to ask questions.

The webinar will focus on five key areas:

  • The mental health continuum
  • Risk factors for mental illness
  • Prevalence of mental illness across the lifespan
  • Early warning signs of mental ill-health
  • Support services and resources for mental ill-health


About Sam Selwood

Sam Sellwood is a registered psychologist with significant experience assisting adults experiencing a wide range of mental health and personal difficulties. She has previously worked in private practice as a therapist and as a workplace psychologist in a range of settings. Sam has a particular interest in creating psychologically safe and healthy workplaces.

As a mental health clinician, consultant and facilitator, Sam’s strength is taking research from psychology and neuroscience and translating it into practical tools that can be used in work and life to improve mental health and well-being. Using accessible language, Sam’s goal is to increase participants’ understanding of how stress, emotion and social factors influence our brain, body and sense of wellbeing. Sam’s style brings together her depth of mental health knowledge and her ability to engage and have fun with her audience.

Sam has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science degree, a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, and a Master of Business Psychology. She is also a Master Mental Health First Aid Instructor.
