Opening Doors, the 2019 Museums & Galleries Queensland Conference was a major professional development initiative dedicated to the volunteer and professional workers in Queensland’s public gallery and museum sector.

Held every four years, the Conference offered a full program of presentations and workshops for the sector to come together and discuss issues affecting regional and public museum/gallery practice at a local, national and international level.

The Conference included:

  • Welcome Reception at a local cultural organisation
  • Presentations from sponsors
  • Networking dinners for delegates at local restaurants
  • Tours of local cultural organisations and public art
  • Pre-dinner drinks hosted by AMaGAQ and PGQ
  • Workshops/Masterclasses with international keynotes and professional consultants

The Conference used the hashtag #MGQ19
