More information about Redlands Coast Museum

Step into the stories of the Redlands Coast at the Redlands Coast Museum in Cleveland (Nandeebie).

What began as a small, volunteer-led project to preserve local farm equipment has grown into a vibrant, award-winning community museum—home to over 50 years of Redlands Coast history, culture, and heritage.

At Redlands Coast Museum, real people and real stories take centre stage. Our exhibitions span multiple buildings and invite visitors to explore the rich and diverse fabric of this unique region—from its farming roots to its coastal villages and islands. Discover immersive displays including a traditional blacksmith workshop, historic schoolroom, chapel, post office, and more. The walls adorn impressive floor-to-ceiling murals and artefacts and stories from the area’s past.

The museum is also home to the Australian Toy Hall of Fame, the only one of its kind in the country, and boasts a celebrated collection of textiles and dolls. With a dynamic calendar of special exhibitions, events and concerts, there’s always something new to experience.
As trusted keepers of the Redlands Coast’s social history, we celebrate community stories, past and present, and create a welcoming space for learning, reflection and connection.
