The Queensland Transport Museum (QTM) is housed within the impressive Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre. Opened in 2009, the museum traditionally exhibits vehicles of historical significance with a special focus on the trucking and bus industries and the heritage of these industries in Queensland.
Currently, the museum features a magnificent display of military transport dating back to World War 1. From rugged army trucks that navigated battlefields to the essential equipment that kept troops moving, each artifact tells a powerful story of courage and innovation. Discover intricately restored transport vehicles, field gear, and historic relics that highlight the engineering and human determination behind wartime transport.
While visiting the Museum, you can also visit the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, Library, Visitor Information Centre, or enjoy a meal at the onsite Café.
The Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre features all modern conveniences and is fully accessible with ramps and ambulant facilities.
