More information
Lisa Jones has more than 35 years proven experience in the museum sector. In 1985, she began as a Guide at the Queensland Museum and then went on to hold roles as Accessions Officer; Assistant Curator; Curatorial Assistant and Exhibition Researcher for the ‘Women of the West’ and ‘Body Culture’ exhibitions. In 1992, Lisa undertook a Masters in Museums Studies and in 1996 she revised the Queensland Museum Accessioning Procedures Manual.
Lisa’s experience with the state’s small museums comes from her extensive consultancy work across Queensland, including: cataloguing; significance assessment and policy writing, along with collection management; exhibition design and disaster preparedness workshops. She also has been a Peer Reviewer for the Museum Standards Program since 2005. For the last 24 years she has managed the Queensland Police Museum and uses the experience gained here in her consultancy work.
